Walking In the Dark: The Roles of Love, Honesty and Freedom in Psychotherapy

Friday, AUGUST 19, 2022
12:00-1:00PM: Presentation
1:00-1:30PM: Q&A
CST via Zoom

Counselor, speaker and consultant Dr. Bill Kerley will explore three of the most crucial values that clinicians bring to the therapeutic process.

About the Presentation:

Jung wrote that the resolution of one’s personal difficulties resided in finding a “spiritual solution” for life’s dilemma. How the therapist comes to terms with and works at resolving her/his own “issues,” especially those that led to choosing therapy as a profession, are essential for doing work that does not contaminate the therapeutic process and/or relationship. Crucial to this is identifying the values that the therapist brings into the process. During this complimentary virtual talk, Bill Kerley, BA, BD, Th.D. will highlight three of these values: Love, honesty and freedom.

Following a 30-minute Q&A at the conclusion of the presentation, clinicians will have the option of earning 1 Continuing Education credit upon successful completion of a course evaluation.
