An Introduction to Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy, A Virtual Talk

In this virtual presentation, Certified Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapist Dr. Rune Mølbak will introduce and explore how EFT can help couples achieve greater relationship satisfaction. 

About the Presentation:

Emotionally focused therapy (EFT) is a type of research-based, short-term therapy that is used to improve attachment and bonding in relationships. Through video illustrations and discussion, Dr. Mølbak will provide an introduction to EFT as a method for helping couples move from distress to greater relationship satisfaction, review the main influences and concepts of this approach and provide examples of what this work might look like. Clinicians will have the option of earning 1 Continuing Education credit upon successful completion of a course evaluation at the conclusion of this complimentary presentation.

About the Presenter:

Dr. Rune Mølbak has 15 years of experience providing psychotherapy for adolescents and adults in community mental health settings, university counseling centers and private practice. He is a certified emotionally-focused couples therapist and has received training in psychodynamic and emotion-focused therapies, such as emotionally focused therapy and accelerated experiential dynamic psychotherapy. Dr. Mølbak’s areas of interest and expertise include couples therapy, trauma work, supervision and teaching. He is widely published in psychological journals on topics as diverse as multicultural psychology, substance abuse, child development and philosophical approaches to psychology.
